Ruto’s men Itumbi and Kipkorir rip each other apart on Twitter

Lawyer Donald Kipkorir and Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi, who are both vocal supporters of Deputy President William Ruto, on Thursday tore into each other in a bitter exchange on Twitter.

The exchange was over New York Times’s publication of a gory picture from Dusit D2 Hotel terror attack, for which the Media Council of Kenya has demanded an apology from the American news outlet.

The tweef started when Kipkorir ridiculed MCK for threatening to revoke the licenses of Kenyan-based journalists working for NYT.

Without provocation Itumbi lashed at the lawyer with a tweet implying that Kipkorir often engages fellow city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi in debates despite the latter being wealthier and more grounded professionally.

To this the flamboyant lawyer attempted to put Itumbi in his place with five stinging points.

But not one to be easily silenced, Itumbi picked one of the five points and attempted to discredit Kipkorir’s moral standing.

This went on for a while until former Kiambu governor William Kabogo intervened and called for ceasefire. This was seconded by lawyer Abdullahi.
