President William Ruto’s bold fashion choice sparks online debate

President Ruto’s evolving fashion choices have continued to attract attention online.

Ruto found himself at the center of a Twitter fashion frenzy after stepping out in footwear reminiscent of those previously donned by Sports CS Ababu Namwamba and influencer Azziad Nasenya.

On Sunday, 3 September, the head of state made a striking fashion statement as he attended the closing ceremony of the Youth Africa Climate Change Summit at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.

Sporting a daring and youthful look, he opted for the trendy “Run Star Hike Converse” sneakers, immediately becoming his ensemble’s focal point.

As the President stepped out from a compact electric car, the chunky platform sneakers grabbed the attention of onlookers.

President Ruto paired the statement sneakers with white pants, a beige polo shirt, and a stylish cream-coloured cap to complete the look.
