8 counties will have power blackouts – Kenya Power
Kenya Power has released a list of areas that will be affected by a planned power outage scheduled for today, January 25, 2024. The outage is part of routine maintenance and improvement works on the power distribution network.
In the Nairobi region, Nairobi County, residents in the Kibagare Way area will experience a power outage from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The affected areas include Kibagare Way, Nairobi, Kibagare Slum, and adjacent customers.
Machakos County, particularly Machakos Town, will also be affected during the same timeframe. The outage will impact Quickmart Express, Grogon, Machakos Girls, Five Hills, Misakwanl, Kyambuko, Westgate, Iveti Hills, and adjacent customers.
In Kajiado County, the area of Kajiado will experience a power outage from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The affected areas include Sajiloni, Enkorika, Enduata, Ol Kejuado School, Kipeto, Oloosuyian, Kikayaya, Referral Hosp Kajiado, and adjacent customers.
Residents in Murang’a County, specifically in Ngararia, Githumbuini, Kandara, Muruka, Kag|Əduini, will face a power outage from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The affected areas include Branan Est, Bedor Est, Githumbuini Est, Golden Pearl Est, Kahaini Mkt, George Thuo & OLA, Ngararia Girls & Ngararia Mkt, Kiunyu, Kiama Est, Gatoka, Gatunyu, Kimatus, Mabanda, Thangariri, Gatanga, Kirwara, Gateiguru, Mukarara, Rugaita, Kihumbuini, Thuita, Mukurwe, Njaini Mkt, Naaro, Muruka, Kiranga, Nguthuru, Muirin| Sec, Munyorl Mkt, Ruchu, Githuya, Kiguoya, Gacharage, Ngoe, Kibage, Mukuria, Gateiguru, Gitaibuka, Kahinga, Githigia, Mukurwe, Mungaria, Rwathe, Gatitu, Kibereke, Mahutia, Whole of Kandara, Kiiri, Kariua, Gatitu, Gathuri, Karugia, Majuu, Whole of Gaichanjiru, Kagunduini, Gakira, Githima, Kandiri, Kahariro, Turuturu, Kariaini, Nguku, Mathareini, Kenyoho, Whole of Githunguri, Whole of Kabati, and adjacent customers.
In the North Rift region, Trans Nzoia County, Kitalale, Kinyoro, Marabachí, Nakami, Olkadongo ADC, Rafiki, Panocal, Elgon Team, and adjacent customers will experience a power outage from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
South Nyanza Region, Homa Bay County, areas of Omboga, Adiedo, Maango, Orire, Wikondiek, Opanyi, Rabware, Raongo, Nyawino, and adjacent customers will face a power outage from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
In the Coast Region, Mombasa County, parts of Majengo Mapya, Shelly Beach, including Shelly Beach Hosp, St. Thomas Hosp, Pungu Villas, Co-operative Bank, King Fisher, Mtaa wa Makka Dudus, Swabrina, Brazil, Centi Kumi, Vanga Est, Muzdhalifah, Kwetu Beach, Furaha Gardens, Talentos, Celtel, Mzungu Mchafu, and adjacent customers will experience a power outage from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Additionally, in Mombasa County, areas of Mikindani, Corrugated Sheets, Doshi Ironmongers, Great Lakes, Modern Soap, Corrugated Sheets, Karibu Flour Mills, Fossil Fuels, Kitui Flour Mills, Transpares, Owino Uhuru, Mikindani Est, Kula Unone, Kajembe Sec Sch, Mikindani Catholic Church, and adjacent customers will also face a power outage from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
In Kilifi County, the areas of Sabaki, Kibokoni, including Ocean Beach, Malindi Golf, Malindi Prison, Woburn Residence, and Kibokoni, will experience a power outage from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
