TV host Nailantei Kenga defends Mercy Kyallo’s secret wedding – Exclusive

Media personality Nailantei Kenga, host of the popular TV show “Art of Living,” has stepped forward to defend and share insights into her exclusive interview with Mercy Kyallo and her husband, Marvin Gichuru.

In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News, Nailantei provided a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of shooting the Kyallo-Gichuru household.

When asked about the ease of getting Mercy to open up her home, Nailantei revealed, “I forged a strong connection with her right from the initial feature on the show. The first interview proved to be the most challenging; I recall she had cold feet and, despite not feeling well, deliberated cancelling the interview.”

Undeterred, Nailantei spent over two hours persuading her, going as far as purchasing medication to ensure the interview proceeded. This commitment marked the beginning of a lasting friendship.

“Her admiration for my perseverance and resilience was immediate, marking the inception of a lasting friendship. Looking ahead, we’ve discussed collaborating on her upcoming décor store venture. Excitingly, I’ll be incorporating Naila plants, a personal touch from the Art Of Living show. People will buy the plant and gift their friends or families on her décor online store. It’s a wonderful fusion of friendship, resilience, and shared endeavors that continues to blossom,” she told Nairobi News.

Meeting Marvin only heightened my amazement; he exuded intelligence, good looks, a laid-back demeanor, kindness, and extraordinary patience.”

Nailantei was touched by the depth of Mercy’s trust in her, stating, “It was evident that Mercy had struck gold. It was at that moment I understood the depth of Mercy’s trust in me to narrate her story with utmost dignity and respect—a responsibility I will cherish for the entirety of my life.”

As the host of the Art of Living TV show, Nailantei expressed her pleasure in exploring the homes of celebrities, describing residences as inherently personal spaces that reveal not only tangible possessions but also the intangible essence of success stories.

She highlighted the shift in narrative when celebrities are within the familiar confines of their homes, making it an authentic self-expression and a revelation of who they truly are.
