Rihanna: I regret exposing my body the way I did
Barbadian sensation Robyn Rihanna Fenty, popularly known as Rihanna has dropped a bombshell confession that has left fans buzzing in a candid interview with VOGUE.
The singer-turned-entrepreneur revealed, “I regret exposing my body the way I did.” Known for her fearless fashion choices and boundary-pushing style, Rihanna admitted to moments of disbelief when reflecting on her past.
“It’s going to sound hypocritical but, I have done a lot in my life. I had my nipples out, I had my panties out, but now those are the things I guess now as a mum, and as an evolved young lady I would never do,” she shared, hinting at a newfound perspective since embracing motherhood.
The mother of two, who once rocked the music world with her bold and often provocative looks, now looks back on her past with a mix of nostalgia and disbelief. “Sometimes I look back and I am like ‘Oh my God, did I really do that?! Nips out?’…I wouldn’t do that right now,” Rihanna confessed.
The singer also opened up about her struggle with fashion post-childbirth, revealing she got too comfortable wearing pajamas and sweatpants after having her second son last year.
“After having children, fashion becomes the least important thing,” she said.
But, speaking at the launch party of her latest collaboration with Puma in London, she said dressing up “does something for you as a woman”.
The multi-Grammy Award winner has two sons with rapper A$AP Rocky – RZA Athelaston Mayers, born in 2022, and Riot Rose Mayers, born in 2023.
“With the first pregnancy, I feel like I was able to wear heels all the way through,” she said.
“But then with the second pregnancy, you have a toddler, a belly, it’s winter, you have a coat, a baby bag. You’re like, heels? Hmm, maybe not. That’s why I got a little bit more creative with my comfortable style.
“And then I got too comfortable after I had my second kid and I just was in robes, PJs, sweats.
“And now I’m playing again. Now I’m having fun with my clothes.”
