Maina Kageni shares DM from Rihanna’s songwriter, Diane Warren


Radio personality Maina Kageni is filled with excitement after receiving a direct message from the renowned US songwriter, Diane Warren.

Warren celebrated for her contributions to hits by global icons like Beyoncé and Rihanna, expressed interest in collaborating with Nigerian superstar Davido.

Maina Kageni shared the thrilling exchange on his Instagram page, where Warren had sent him a DM.

The message from Warren to Maina read: “Hi!! I just saw your post, I’d love to work with Davido. I love Afrobeat and just did great songs with Tiwa Savage and Angelique Kidjo. I’d love to do more.”

He expressed gratitude and eagerly anticipated the potential mega-hit collaboration with Davido.

“Woke up to a DM from a legend 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Songwriter to Beyoncé, Rihanna, Celine Dion etc 🙌🏼 @dianewarren Thanks for getting in touch. @davido, we are waiting for the mega-hit!!!!”

Davido is set to headline a mega concert at Uhuru Gardens on March 30, 2024, as part of the upcoming Raha Fest.

In addition to Davido’s headline performance, RAHA Fest 2024 will feature a range of activities and attractions, including art installations, cultural exhibitions, culinary delights, and interactive workshops.

The festival aims to unite people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate African creativity and diversity.
