Arsenal’s Theo Walcott sends birthday video to ‘big fan’ Carol Radull – VIDEO
A renowned Kenyan media personality has revealed to Nairobi News how she felt “honoured” and “speechless” to have received a birthday gift from an international football star.
Carol Radull – a radio and TV presenter who is also an ardent Arsenal fan – woke up to a pleasant surprise in the form of a happy-birthday video from Arsenal forward Theo Walcott.
The 26 year England international said: ” Hello Carol. It’s Theo Walcott here. I hear you are a big Arsenal fan and I also hear it’s your birthday on the 18th September. From everyone at the club we’d like to wish you a happy birthday.”
The message has created a buzz on social media and Radull, who religiously follows and comments on Arsenal issues, admits she is yet to get in terms with it.
“All credit should go to Eddah’s Hope cancer foundation. I have been involved with them in cancer awareness programmes and they organized this pleasant surprise. I am speechless, my heart is still beating,” Radull told Nairobi News.
Radull, who has in the past been touted as a future administrator of Kenyan football, added that Kenya’s football deserves better management.
“It is embarrassing that Kenyan football has not progressed to the level where our superstars like, say, Micheal Olunga will catch the world’s attention by sending you a birthday message. The current management needs to pack up for failing the sport,” Radull said.
