Expeditions Maasai Safaris has awarded content creator Baba Talisha with a generous holiday package for his extraordinary efforts in planning the funeral of the late TikToker, Brian Chira.

Pancras Karema, CEO of Expeditions Maasai Safaris, announced the company’s decision to present Baba Talisha and his daughter with a three-day holiday to Mombasa.

“We are delighted to announce the reward of Baba Talisha and his daughter with a fully paid holiday voucher in recognition of his unwavering and admirable contribution to helping the Chira family in their time of need,” said Karema.

Baba Talisha played a pivotal role in supporting Chira’s family following his tragic death, rallying friends and strangers alike to ensure a dignified send-off for the deceased.

His dedicated efforts culminated in a funeral that reflected the solemnity and respect befitting a state occasion.

Leading a coalition of content creators, Baba Talisha spearheaded fundraising efforts that raised over Sh10 million towards Brian Chira’s funeral expenses.

Part of the money raised will also be used to build a new home for Chira’s grandmother, Esther.

Karema emphasised that Baba Talisha’s unwavering commitment to philanthropy has earned him widespread admiration and praise from fans and supporters alike, prompting Expeditions Maasai Safaris to honour him with a well-deserved reward.

“This gesture is in line with Expeditions Maasai Safaris’ vision to recognise and celebrate individuals who make significant positive contributions to society. We are delighted to present Baba Talisha with an all-expenses paid holiday for two in recognition of his remarkable kindness and dedication,” said Karema.

TikToker Brian Chira was laid to rest on his grandmother’s ancestral land in Gitei village, Gathanje, Kiambu County.

The burial ceremony drew a crowd of prominent figures from the content creator community known as the ‘Chira Clan’.

Kenyans have also attributed the radiance of Brian Chira’s grandmother Esther to Baba Talisha’s kindness.
