Plastic manufacturers have lost High Court bid to suspend implementation of government ban on plastic bags.
Environment and Land Court Judge Bernard Mweresa Eboso on Friday declined the plastic makers’ request to lift the ban temporarily.
This means the ban declared in February by Environment Cabinet Secretary Judi Wakhungu will take effect on Monday, August 28.
The court will resume hearing the manufacturers’ case on September 21.
