Anti-IEBC protesters should prepare for a special bath – Nkaissery

Interior Secretary Joseph Nkaiserrey has warned opposition leaders and their supporters to prepare for a strong police response should they proceed with their planned street protests on Monday.

Speaking on Sunday, Mr Nkaiserrey said police will use tear gas to disperse the protesters should they become rowdy.

He also cheekily added that all those taking to the streets should prepare for a “special bath”.

“They have been disturbing our peace, injuring policemen, we cannot allow that to happen. I said the other day we have enough tear gas, plus.. there are those who come to the streets after taking too long without taking a shower. We have acquired special equipment to give them a bath,” Mr Nkaiserrey said amid laughter from the crowd.

Cord principles Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula are on Monday expected to lead their supporters to Anniversary Towers, on University Way, to push for the disbandment of the electoral commission.
