ODM communications director Etale loses his father
ODM Director of Communication Philip Etale has lost his father. Mzee Justus Etale, 78, passed on at the Coptic Hospital in Maseno on Sunday after a long illness.
He was admitted at the facility early in the week and was diagnosed with dehydration and blockage of the esophagus.
“Doctors have told me that he died of severe dehydration which is a result of inadequate fluids in the body. This is a big loss to me as an individual and my family. Our dad was the pillar on which all us leaned on in both good and bad times,” the younger Etale said on Monday.
The late Etale is survived by 12 children.
The death of his father is another low moment for the ODM spokesman. He lost his mother in 2014, then lost his son in 2015.
In 2016, Mr Etale, a former journalist, lost his step mother.
Mr Etale said the family is meeting to make burial arrangements which will be communicated to the public later.
