Flooded Limuru Road cut off after heavy rains – PHOTOS
Motorists using Limuru Road were left marooned in a flooded section of the busy highway following a heavy downpour on Saturday morning.
The underpass at Kamandura Bridge became flooded with several cars and a truck submerged in the floods.
Witness said the heavy rains started at around 4 in the morning and continued for several hours.
The morning foggy weather also limited the movement of drivers and pedestrians.
One of the owners of the submerged vehicles was traveling with his family but they were later rescued.
At the time of publishing this story, all the submerged saloon cars had been towed away except for one trailer.
