Hugh Jackman ‘Wolverine’ and wife divorce after 27 years of marriage
Famous American actor Hugh Jackman better known for his role as ‘Wolverine’, and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness’ have announced their separation after 27 years of marriage.
The Australian actress, aged 67, and the actor, aged 54, shared the news with the international press saying that the reason behind their separation is noncontroversial.
In their joint statement to People Magazine, they announced their divorce as they stressed that they are embracing their individual growth.

Said statement read, “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
‘The Greatest Showman’ actor and his estranged wife noted that their focus is placed on their family, given that they have two children together Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
The statement further read, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
The Australian couple met back in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series called Corelli and he fell for her hard. They got married in 1996 and adopted their son after failed attempts at IVF and an unfortunate miscarriage. They also welcomed their daughter to the world in 2005.
Jackman and Deborra-Lee had always been open about their marriage and were seemingly happy, so the news of their split has broken the hearts of their many devoted fans.
Another Hollywood breakup to mourn for is that of actress and singer Teyana Taylor and former basketball player Iman Shumpert who also recently announced their break up after ten years together and seven years of marriage.
Teyana took to her social media pages to clarify the reason they broke up saying that the decision was mutual, and that there was no bad blood between Iman and herself.
“AHT AHT! Not too much on my bestie! In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while. To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ isn’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners, and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children.”
The 32-year-old added she was keeping their separation private and due to that, they were able to deal with the separation successfully and peacefully. Teyana explained the reason she felt the need to clear the air was because the narratives were getting out of hand.
“We just keep y’all a$$es out the group chat lol, which is the reason we’ve been able to successfully & peacefully separate without all of the outside noise. The only reason I’m even sharing THIS part of the chat is because the narratives are getting a little out of hand & it’s unfair to all parties involved.”
