KCPE results to be announced this afternoon in Mombasa


The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results are set to be announced today in Mombasa by Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed.

The announcement is expected to take place at 1pm at the Star of the Sea Primary School, according to the Kenya National Examination Council (Knec).

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday said that the marking of the KCPE examinations has been completed and the results was due to be released soon.

FREE OF CHEATING

At the same time, the President also revealed that this year’s KCPE examinations was free of cheating and other malpractices.

“There was very little cheating or abuse during this year’s exam and I thank the parents, teachers and candidates. We want to congratulate all those who contributed into making the exams a success,” President Kenyatta said.

A total of 1,060,703 candidates sat this year’s end of primary school examinations which were administered between October 30 and November 1.
