MP threatens to shoot Helicopter Ministries’ Bishop Wahome

Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambo threatened to shoot two police officers and controversial Helicopter Ministries’ Bishop Thomas Wahome after holding them for over an hour at his office.

The detectives from Kilimani had accompanied the cleric to the lawmaker’s office on Ngong Road on Monday to conduct investigations.

Mr Wahome had reported that Mr Mutambo hired his lorry two months ago to ferry some goods from Donholm to Lang’ata but refused to return it.

SOLD LORRY

But the MP on Tuesday insisted that Mr Wahome had sold him the vehicle and was yet to give him the documents.

Mr Wahome said he sought the assistance of the police after he learnt that the MP had taken the lorry to a garage, where it was being painted.

The lawmaker attacked Mr Wahome in the presence of the two police officers.

Mr Mutambo had ordered his bodyguard to arrest Mr Wahome but the officers intervened.

It was at that point that Mr Mutambo drew his gun and threatened to attack the three.

Mr Mutambo, however, said he only instructed his guard to arrest Mr Wahome after he became violent.
