Nairobi among cities to host World Music Day
Nairobi will be among the more than 450 cities across 100 countries that will mark this year’s Fete de la Musique (World Music Day).
The event, which will be hosted at Alliance Francaise, has attracted several Kenyan artistes among them, Third Hand Music, Swahili Ally, Ziki the Band, Mufasa the Movement, Love and Light Poets and the Nairobi Dance Ensemble.
At Alliance Francaise, the festivities at the annual event, which was launched in 1982 by the French Ministry of Culture, begin at 6pm with no fee being charged for entrance.
