NCBA Golf Series heads to Nakuru

Nakuru Golf Club is gearing for the second leg of the highly anticipated 2024 NCBA Golf Series on March 23.

Over 100 amateur golfers from around the Rift Valley region are poised to tee-off at the picturesque yet challenging par-73 golf course as they compete for top honors and a chance to secure coveted slots at the tournament’s grand finale later in the year.

The upcoming event follows the successful inaugural leg held earlier this month, which attracted 145 golfers. Notably, Kenneth Mburu emerged victorious in the Division One category after carding an impressive 38 stableford points. Ronald Wekesa clinched the Division Two title with a remarkable 43 points, while Kimaita Magiri secured the top spot in Division Three with a score of 42 stableford points.

Speaking ahead of the event, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora expressed excitement about returning to Nakuru Golf Club for the second leg of the series. He emphasized the club’s reputation for providing one of the most challenging yet rewarding golfing experiences in the country:

“We are delighted to return to the amazing Nakuru Golf Club for the second event in the series. Despite its reputation as one of the most challenging golf courses in the country, it offers one of the best experiences for golfers. Building on the success of previous editions, we anticipate exceptional golfing and fierce competition from golfers in this region. This event also provides an excellent opportunity for NCBA to engage with our customers and better understand how we can support their financial needs and we therefore look forward to the event,” said Gachora.

Six of the top golfers from the Nakuru event will secure their slots to play at the Series 2024 Grand Finale in Muthaiga. They include the Division 1 Male and Lady Winners, Division 2 Male and Lady Winners, Division 3 Overall Winner, and the Overall Junior Winner.
