Who is this police ‘officer’ who wants MPs Junet and Millie dead?
A Facebook user has been under fire for posting a photo of bullets that he captioned as to be used to shoot opposition MPs Junet Mohamed and Millie Odhiambo.
The user who goes by the name Kipchirchir Alfie indicates in his profile that he works for Presidential Escort, something Nairobi News could not authenticate.
The post comes just a day after Ms Odhiambo, who is the MP for Mbita on an ODM ticket, verbally insulted President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Mr Mohamed, who represents Suna East constituency also on an ODM ticket, is another avowed critic of President Kenyatta’s Jubilee government.
Kipchirchir’s post attracted over 500 comments and 100 shares with many users rebuking him for the post.
Kenyans on Twitter likewise condemned the post and its author. Through the hashtag #ArrestKillerKipchirchir, most of the users expressed concern that the trend of inflammatory remarks from political leaders was in bad taste as the country prepares for next year’s General Elections.
Even parody Twitter account holders were not left behind, mocking the incident satirically.
