Policeman, guard arrested after Sh4m heist at Naivas Supermarket – VIDEO

A policeman and a security guard have been arrested after Sh4 million was stolen at Naivas Supermarket at Mountain View Mall on Saturday evening.

During the robbery, that was captured on CCTV at the supermarket, two thugs armed with pistols are seen casually approaching a security guard carrying cash in a briefcase.

It is when the guard places the briefcase on the floor that the gangsters step in while brandishing their firearms and pick up the briefcase before making their way out.

NO ONE INJURED

Curiously, no police officers are in sight as is the norm when the guard walks in with the briefcase.

As the two are running out of the mall, they come across an Administration Police officer who quickly dives on the floor after being shown the pistols.

The officer, who is armed with an AK 47 rifle, then gets up and gives chase but he doesn’t fire any shots.

In his statement, the officer whose identity has not been revealed, said he tried to shoot but realized his rifle was on safe mode. No one was injured during the incident.
