Sauti Sol to release new video shot in Los Angeles

Kenyan all boys band Sauti Sol returned to the country on Tuesday afternoon from a music tour in the United States and announced that they will soon release a music video they shot in Los Angeles.

The band had been nominated in this year’s BET Awards but lost in the Best International Act Africa category to Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy.

But undeterred  by the setback, they went on to record their next hit.

Sauti Sol said that they met and networked with celebrities during the BET awards, including J.B. Smoove, Empire’s Jussie Smollett, Robin Thicke, Brandy, Ray J, Fally Ipupa, Toofan, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy among others.

The Sura Yako hit makers are set to depart for Uganda where they will hold their first concert in the country on July 11.

Meanwhile, voting the MTV Africa Music Awards is set to close in eight days. Sauti Sol have been nominated for Best Song and Best Group categories.

The group is up against major acts in Africa in both categories of the awards set to go down in South Africa on July 18.

The awards will see performances from international superstars led by RnB artist Neyo.
