Six regions including Nairobi to be affected by power interruptions

A total of six regions will on September 26, 2023, be affected by power interruptions, Kenya Power Company has announced.

In Nairobi County, Kenya Power Company said that Parts of the Umoja and Rosslyne areas will experience interruptions.

The specific areas that will be affected include; Mwangaza School, Busara School, Peter Kibukosya School, Umoja Two market, Twinkid School, and adjacent customers.

In Rosslyn the precise places that will experience the power interruptions include; Rosslyn Green, Rosslyn Valley, Rosslyn Lane Tree, Nyari West, Gachie, Red Hills Road, Parts of Ruaka Road, Ruaka Groove, and Rivera Mall.

Other areas include; Rivella Mall, the Embassy of Switzerland, and adjacent customers.

In North Eastern Region, the areas that will be affected by the power interruptions are; Parts of Kiambu County, Ting’ang’a and Ngemwa.

In Kiambu County the areas that will experience the power interruptions are; Sigona, Zambezi, Nderi, Kefri, Kari, Kephis, Rumwe, Kamangu, Runana and adjacent customers.

In Tinganga and Kemwa, the following areas will be affected; Ting’ang’a Market, Ngemwa, St Joseph the Worker, Gituamba, Ngemwa Police, Ting’ang’a Secondary School and adjacent customers.

The South Nyanza region has also been listed and will be affected by the power Interruptions.  Specific Counties include; Kakrao and God Jope areas.

The specific areas that will be affected by the interruptions include; Kakrao, Kayudhi, Kisugunua, Got Kachola, Mwisho wa Lami and adjacent customers.

Parts of Homa Bay county will also be affected. The specific areas include; Wioberio Primary and Secondary School, Minambo Dispensary, Gogo Katuma Primary and adjacent customers.

In Mount Kenya region, Embu County will be affected by the power interruptions. The specific areas that will be affected include; Don Bosco Melino Felice Mission, Embu Airstrip, Don Bosco Girls and Boys, Rianjeru, Embu Mbeere Hospice, Rwika Technical and Njagi Rurima Farm.

Other specific areas within the same county include; Gachoka Market, Mecca Market, Gachuriri Market, Kiangugi Primary, Highland Conners, Kabage Cooling Plant, Mashariki Rubber, Yonder Farm, and adjacent customers.

In the Coastal region, Kilifi County will be affected by the power blackout. The specific areas include; parts of Kanami, North Coast Beach Hotel, Royal Reserve, Gurdum Villa, Salama Beach, Mwendo wa Panya, Ndondo, St Mathew’s, Kanamai, Timboni, Safi Sana Limited, and Barani.

Whenever there is a power blackout most businesses and Kenyans get affected in many ways as this usually disrupts their businesses.
