Thee Pluto honors mother’s sacrifice, ‘We have really struggled!’
YouTube content creator Robert Ndegwa, popularly known as Thee Pluto, has taken to social media to reminisce about the struggles his mother endured while raising him as he celebrates her birthday.
According to the artist, his mother would sacrifice her meagre earnings to ensure he received an education.
Thee Pluto is an alumnus of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
The content creator’s mother celebrated her birthday on Monday, February 12, 2024.
Through his official Instagram account, he attributed his success to her.
“If I’m even half the woman you are, I’ll be grateful. I look back fondly on my childhood, and you’re responsible for that. Your love and prayers are something I cannot put into words,” he wrote.
The message was accompanied by past photos of Thee Pluto receiving gifts in school in the presence of his mother.
In others, he is seen leaning on his mother’s shoulder years after schooling.
“Mum, we have really struggled. I remember when you were working at a grocery store in Maai Mahiu earning between Sh200 to Sh300 a day, but you could still afford to send me pocket money. My motivation to work hard in school was knowing that you’d always be there to receive those presents with me,” reads the message.
He affirmed, “It’s your time now; we will treat you well…Thank you for being the best mother ever. Help me wish Happy Birthday to my fearless and beautiful mom”.
Thee Pluto is one of the youthful content creators who earn a living through YouTube channels.
He is known for shooting shows about couples who want to find out if their significant other is faithful.
