I gat you Babe! ‘Birthday boy’ Uhuru’s special request song on Kameme FM
On the occasion of his 62nd birthday, retired head of state, Uhuru Kenyatta, emerged from his retirement to share his thoughts and gratitude with Kenyans.
Kenyans woke up to a flurry of charming messages from well-wishers, celebrating the milestone in Uhuru’s life.
In a radio interview with Kameme FM, the former head of state expressed his appreciation for the warm wishes and took a moment to reflect on life and the country he once led.
He was interviewed on the phone by Muthoni Wa Kirumba, a popular Kikuyu radio presenter.
“I am doing well, and I thank God, and we thank God so much,” Kenyatta remarked when asked about his well-being.
When pressed on how many years he was turning, Kenyatta replied with a contented smile:
“Stop asking about how many years. Life begins at 40, and that is a milestone I passed a while ago, and we are grateful. We should keep praying for our country. It is approaching 60 years of independence, and we want it to remain peaceful for many more years ahead.”
Kenyatta took a moment to extend his best wishes to the nation, saying:
“I wish all of you well, and I am grateful for your warm wishes. May you have peace and good health.”
As the interview concluded, the former Head of State had a special request for the Wa Kirumba aka ‘Baby Top’, asking her to play the song ‘I Got You Babe’ by UB40, adding a touch of nostalgia to the celebration of his 62nd year.
On October 26, 2023, traders from Gatundu Market came together to throw a celebratory event in honor of the retired President, Uhuru Kenyatta’s birthday.
During the event, the traders showcased a beautifully decorated cake adorned with a Kenyan flag theme, complete with one tier featuring a courtroom and tie design.
It’s worth noting that the former president, although the guest of honor, was unable to attend the party.
In addition, a selection of soft beverages was showcased at the event.
The traders donned aprons and hand scarves in a vibrant red hue, with the words ‘Jubilee, Tuko Mbele pamoja’ inscribed on them.
