Judiciary staff claims lover assaulted her
Police in Eldoret are investigating a case in which a Judiciary employee claims to have been kidnapped by her boyfriend and assaulted. Ms Violet Indiasi claims that her boyfriend, a soldier, invited her to visit him in Nairobi before abducting her and subjecting her to brutality.

Esipisu’s term ends as Kenya’s High Commissioner to the UK
Outgoing Kenya’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Manoah Esipisu took to X, formerly Twitter, to thank President William Ruto. “Today I bid farewell to the famous No. 45 Portland Place London. Great staff. Great moments. A fine Innings. Thanks to HE President William Ruto for retaining me in post and grateful for the opportunity to serve the government in diplomacy and communication,” Mr Esipisu said in his X account.

Italians’ trial in Sh32m case set for May 22
A case in which two Italian nationals are charged with obtaining over Sh32 million by false pretences in Watamu, Kilifi, will proceed to trial on May 22 before Kilifi Principal Magistrate Ivy Wasike. Daniele Lo Coco and Massimo Nativi had on April 29 denied the charges before Kilifi Chief Magistrate Julius Mukut.

Farmers oppose plan to cut fertiliser budget
Farmers in Nyandarua have opposed the proposed cut in the budget for subsidised fertiliser in the 2024/2025 financial year. They argue that this would reverse progress made since the subsidy’s introduction, especially considering recent crop losses due to flooding.
