Viral Kenyan nanny Rosie reunites with her Lebanese employer

Viral Kenyan nanny, Roseline ‘Rosie’ Atieno, also known as Rozah Rozalina Samson, has been joyfully reunited with her Lebanese employer.

In a recent video capturing her arrival, Rosie can be seen warmly embracing the two young children she had cared for with great affection.

After her emotional departure from Lebanon a couple of months ago, Rosie has returned to the Middle Eastern country. She excitedly revealed that her own children would soon be joining her there.

At the airport, her delighted employer, upon seeing her, inquired about her kids and questioned why they were not with her.

Rosie happily responded, nodding in affirmation that her children would indeed be joining her in Lebanon very soon.

“Rosie, how are your kids? Why did you not bring them with you?” her boss asked.

“They are fine, they will come,” said Rosie.

Rosie became an internet sensation after a video capturing her emotional farewell with the children she cared for went viral in November 2023.

The Kenyan nanny working in Lebanon took a holiday trip back to her homeland in Kenya, leaving behind four small children who had become deeply attached to her.

In the video shared on TikTok by Rosieā€™s employers, the children were tearfully bidding farewell to their beloved caregiver at the airport.

During an interview, Rosie shared that she had ended a toxic marriage before embarking on her journey to Lebanon.

Upon Rosie’s return, her fans expressed a mixed reaction, as her employer had previously expressed a desire for her to stay in Kenya and continue caring for the children.

“Of course, I hope she will come back. But I donā€™t think so. I donā€™t want her to come back. I want her to enjoy her time with her kids and maybe stay with them,” the employer stated.

She went on to express a preference for Rosie to extend her stay in Kenya, emphasising:

“If I was her, I would stay in Kenya with my kids. I would never come back to Lebanon.” The employer speculated that the viral video could open doors to better opportunities for Rosie outside Lebanon.

“I am pretty sure after this viral video, she will be able to get better opportunities than to come back to Lebanon,” the employer asserted.

She also expressed pride and highlighted the positive impact she believes she played in Rosieā€™s newfound recognition.

ā€œI feel really proud and touched that I was able to help Rosy reach what she did reach, to go viral and be appreciated and to be with her kids. So guys, please donā€™t understand me wrong. I wish Rosy all the best,ā€ she added.

Additionally, the employer touched upon Rosieā€™s videoā€™s impact on her content creation, revealing that she gained a massive following on TikTok within 24 hours after the video went viral.

ā€œI made 1 million followers on TikTok in 24 hours after Rosiā€™s video. Lemme know if there is anyone who has ever made that huge number in 24 hours on TikTok.ā€
