All about the Meru State Lodge set to be built by Ruto
President William Ruto attended a thanksgiving church service in Laare, Meru County, yesterday, Sunday, September 10, 2023, and during his address, he promised new developments for Meru County residents including new milk processing machinery, 12 new produce markets, two new dams and a new state lodge.
“Meru people, shall we cooperate and move forward together? I found a plot of government land here in Meru and I want to come and build a state lodge. Those who constantly complained that I often came to Meru, now I don’t know what they will do. Now I will come to Meru to stay for a while. Give me some time, I want to build that State Lodge so that we can finish all of Meru’s business within the County. No need for people to come to Nairobi.
I will come to live near you so that these small complaints, I can deal with them immediately. Those people who have a problem with me coming to Meru will have even bigger problems now because I will be here to deal with Meru’s and Kenya’s matters at the same time. This is because I have a lot of love for Meru people because you are heroes in the Republic of Kenya. You helped us gain independence and we will work with you to move Kenya ahead,” said President Ruto.
The President of Kenya mainly operates from State House and in State Lodges while on tour in various regions.
They include State House Nairobi, State House Mombasa and State House Nakuru.
State Lodges are located in Eldoret (Uasin Gishu), Sagana (Kirinyaga), Kisumu, Kakamega, Kitale (Trans Nzoia), Rumuruti (Laikipia), Cheren’gany (Trans Nzoia) and Kisii.
State Lodge Laare in Meru County will be the latest addition and the first one to be built in President Ruto’s regime.
Ideally, a State Lodge in Kenya is expected to contain an office block and other offices, residence for the President, guest houses, interiors with the highest quality fixtures and finishes, driveways, walls and fences, presidential guards and security officers living quarters and large tracts of land within the compound for hosting official and private events hosted by the President.
