Visibly absent from Akothee’s lavish and trending wedding held at the Windsor Golf and Country Club was Instagram influencer Amber Ray.

Several high profile politicians, influencers and entertainers turned up at the much hyped event, putting their best feet forward in terms of fashion- but Amber was not present considering how she is known for being in events that attract celebs and attention, and over posting about the event on her Instagram stories.

A day after the wedding, and much later in the evening, Amber Ray finally sent a message to Akothee via her Instagram stories, thanking the former self proclaimed president of single mothers for giving single mothers hope.

“This was so beautiful jameni. Congratulations Madam Boss, Akothee. You have set the bar so high for us..but unatupatia hopes sisi kama single mothers,” said Amber as she celebrated the award wining musician on her wedding.

Amber Ray is one of the latest single mothers in the country after she and her ex-fiancé, Kennedy Rapudo, broke up in late March 2023. This was after two previous break ups, two reunions followed by whirlwind romance and an engagement while on vacation in Dubai. Weeks after the vacation, the former couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.

Five months after the magical, international proposal, the duo announced and confirmed their break up via Instagram stories, as Amber announced that she was done with love and was now embarking on a journey of being a single mother of two. She is due to give birth within the next four weeks.

In saying that Akothee was giving single mothers hope, she was referring to Madam Boss’ past where she gave birth to five children with three different men. One of the men, the father to her daughters, was her husband but they divorced after he cheated on her. Akothee went on to have two more sons with Caucasian men but those relationships did not end in marriage as she had been led to believe.

Following a highly publicized dating life and being ridiculed for hoping to get married someday, Akothee met Denis Schweizer through a mutual friend in Switzerland; and after months of dating, he popped the question and married on April 10, 2023. Their nuptials elicited mixed reactions as some thought Akothee was clout chasing or lying – considering she and a former boyfriend had claimed to be married only to break up and go their separate ways with no news of a divorce in sight- but were stunned when Akothee and Denis, alias Mr Omosh, actually tied the knot in an extremely luxurious, star studded event on Easter Monday, 2023.

Amber Ray revealed in the past that she still hoped to settle down someday but was now focusing on her children.
