Amira opens up about weight loss journey

Amira, the former spouse of businesswoman Jimal Rohosafi, has shared her remarkable weight loss journey, revealing a staggering loss of 45 kilograms.

In a heartfelt post on her Instagram page, the mother of two bared her soul, recounting the challenges she faced due to stress-induced weight gain.

“Where do I begin? You all know my journey from when I weighed over 130 kilograms, almost reaching 140 kilograms at times! It’s a tough place to be because, firstly, you’re big. Secondly, you’re aware of your size, but thirdly, you can’t understand why stress isn’t helping you shed the weight. In fact, there’s something called ‘stress eating’!” she wrote.

Amira candidly described the vicious cycle of stress, overeating, and self-perpetuating distress.

She reflected on the struggle of feeling trapped in a cycle of stress-induced eating habits.

“Can you imagine being stressed and the solution for me, a stressed-out individual, is to eat and continue this never-ending cycle of ‘Eat, Pray (get bigger), Love (stress because of your size), then eat again, and repeat – Eat, Pray, Love!'” she added.

However, Amira’s narrative took a turn towards triumph as she shared her breakthrough moment.

“It was always in my mind that one day all this weight will be gone, and I will be healthy and look as I envision myself in my head, not in the mirror… and abracadabra, it happened,” she exclaimed.

The elated Amira emphasized the importance of mindset in her weight loss journey, highlighting her newfound sense of empowerment and self-assurance.

“I have lost over 45 kilograms, and I feel like I’m on top of the world, not just because of the weight loss, but because I can now do what I want, if I want to do it – which is the moral of the story!” she proclaimed.

Amira concluded her post with a message of empowerment to her fellow women on International Women’s Day, encouraging them to seize control of their destinies and pursue their dreams fearlessly.

“And with that, ladies, HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY QUEENS, and remember the moral of the story: you can do what you want, if you want to do it! Period!!!!!” she declared.
