Ben Pol issues public apology to ex-wife Anerlisa Muigai
Tanzanian singer Ben Pol has issued an apology to his ex-wife Anerlisa Muigai after days of online scuffle.
The singer, through his social media pages, said he did not intend to hurt his ex-lover but was instead sharing his genuine experience of the marriage.
“I want to apologize for the things I said about my marriage during my series of interviews with Millard Ayo, which started broadcasting on the 13th of January, 2023. My intention was never to hurt but to share my experience of the marriage, an experience I take full responsibility for,” Ben Pol’s apology reads in part.
The singer also said he wanted to articulate how his failed marriage affected his mental health, adding that in future he will be mindful in speaking about the topic and his experience.

“I recognize that my words were hurtful to my ex-wife and I apologize to her and to the public. While I do want to continue to talk about mental health and speak about my experiences, I will strive to do so in a way that is more mindful and more constructive,” he added.
Last week, the Tanzanian singer sparked an online storm with claims that he did not enjoy his marriage and that it was more about showing off than enjoying the real benefits of marriage.
But in a swift response Anerlisa gave ex-husband a piece of her mind while warning him Ben Pol to stop talking about her. She also claimed her ex-hubby has been hitting on her for months since their divorce.
Anerlisa went as far as daring her ex-hubby to release the messages he has been sending to her months after their divorce.

Anerlisa has previously told her fans on social media that talking about her past relationship is not worth her time and that she was ‘better than that.’
“After a long calculated thought, I decided not to talk about my past relationship because I realized it’s really not worth my time,” Anerlisa said.
However, the businesswoman warned Ben Pol against talking about her, saying, “I am not your wife and clearly not your friend.”
Anerlisa further told the Tanzanian singer to move on with his life and stop hoping they would get back together, saying “it will never happen.”
