Betty Kyallo to replace Akothee as president of single mothers
Kenyan media personality Betty Kyallo has declared herself the new president of single mothers.
This follows the wedding of famed singer Esther Akoth aka Akothee.
Akothee, who until his wedding was a single mother of five, got married to her fiancée Dennis Schweizer on April 10, 2023, at a lavish wedding in Nairobi.
With the marriage forcing the singer to quit the imaginary position, Kyallo, also a single mother of one, has seemingly swiftly moved in to take over.
“Ametoa jam, (she has eased single ladies traffic). She used to be the president of single mothers. Inaonekana mimi sasa ndiye nitakuwa next, (It seems I will be the next president of single mothers),” Kyalo said.
Kyallo further congratulated Akothee on her wedding.
“I am so happy for you girl. Like I am so happy. I am happy for my fellow girl since she is now out of the market,” wrote Betty Kyalo.
Akothee’s wedding was attended by the who is who in Kenya, including senior government officials, politicians, and celebrities.
She tied the knot with her love bird at Windsor Golf Hotel, in Nairobi.
The Give it To Me hitmaker has been boasting online of her boyfriend, now official husband, whom she has nicknamed ‘Omosh’.
The media personality, however, stated that she is also looking forward to settling down in marriage just like her friend, Akothee.
“I will quit the market with time. I was waiting for Akothee to finalize everything, then I figure out what next.”
Kyallo, a popular TV girl, was once married to famous media personality, Dennis Okari.
The two walked down the aisle in 2015.
Nevertheless, they divorced six months after their much-publicized wedding held at Marula Manor in Karen.
They had a child together.
Mr Okari later remarried in February 2019, to Naomi Joy in an invite only wedding.
Ms Kyallo has in the meantime been involved in several affairs, with most of them turning controversial, but none has stood the taste of time.
