How top advertising agency raided rival firm’s office – VIDEO
A video obtained by Nairobi News has revealed how a team from a top advertising agency raided and seized equipment from a rival firm.
Transcend advertising agency, which is embroiled in a bitter business rivalry with Saracen Media, on Wednesday raided the latter’s offices over claims of infringement of copyright.
The afternoon raid was led by controversial businessman, Mike Njeru, who is the chairman of Transcend advertising agency, after the firm obtained a court order.
In the video, the Transcend team, in the company of police officers, is seen taking away office equipment at Saracen’s premises in Lavington.
A successful pitch for a Safaricom business is believed to be the genesis of this legal battle with sources within Transcend claiming that Saracen received creative ideas for the pitch after poaching four employees from Transcend.
With the copyright hearing scheduled for June 17 at the Milimani Court, the order allowed Transcend to seize computers and documents from Saracen.
