CS Ababu addresses viral clip of nurse intimidation incident involving his name

Sports and Culture Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba has issued a statement expressing his strong condemnation of the incident in response to a viral video depicting a woman threatening and intimidating nurses using his name.

The distressing video captures a man and a woman verbally harassing two nurses at a medical facility, employing inappropriate language and aggressive behaviour.

The woman, visible on camera, creates chaos by tossing objects from a nurse’s desk while hurling insults.

At a critical juncture, she threatens to involve someone identified as “Ababu,” prompting her accomplice to urgently call for assistance, citing an alleged emergency.

“Harakisha ukuje hapa saa hii, (Hurry up and come here right now,) we have an emergency here!” the lady said while on call.

Realising they are being recorded, the duo swiftly exits the scene.

“I am thoroughly investigating these allegations and will take decisive actions to rectify any wrongdoing.
