This celebration comes after Davido opened up about the profound experience of welcoming twins just a year after the tragic death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The couple’s late son had sadly passed away in October of the previous year after an accident in their swimming pool.
In a recent public appearance, Davido shared the overwhelming emotions surrounding the discovery of the impending arrival of their twins.
“We were shaking when we found out that we were expecting twins. It was in the same month my son passed away in October last year, and my wife gave birth this year in October. It’s crazy,” Davido recounted.
The twins, Taiwo and Kehinde David, have brought a renewed sense of joy and purpose to the Adeleke family.
Davido admitted to facing a deep personal crisis after the loss of Ifeanyi, revealing that he contemplated giving up on his faith and even questioned whether he would ever sing again.
“I was at the point of giving up. I thought I would never sing again. Despite having my most successful year, releasing my biggest album, and my wife delivering twins, a beautiful boy and a girl, I felt like I came back in double,” Davido shared.
Despite the challenges, Davido persevered, attributing his resilience to a strong and supportive team.
The music icon expressed gratitude for the blessings in his life, acknowledging the importance of family, faith, and the healing power of love as he embarks on a new chapter, celebrating not only his birthday but the precious additions to his family.
