Ghost calls out KOT for insensitive comments on Oliech – VIDEO
Former Harambee Stars coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee has told off Kenyans on Twitter for insensitive comments about former national team skipper Dennis Oliech after he (Mulee) posted a photo on Instagram.
The photo, captioned “My loyal captain Dennis Oliech”, which has since gone viral, has been the subject of online debate with some users quick to pass judgement on Oliech for his appearance, even concluding that the striker is ‘broke.’
But on Wednesday Mulee posted a short clip on YouTube defending his former captain while at the same time asking Kenyans to look at themselves first before criticising others.
The coach, who guided a Dennis Oliech-led Harambee Stars to her last appearance at the Africa Cup of Nation in 2004 in Tunisia, challenged Oliech’s critics to appreciate what the former captain did for Kenya during his playing days.

“I don’t know why his new look has caused all these reactions, some claiming that he is broke. Do guys really know his pockets?” Ghost posed.
His parting shot?
“Sometime before you comment about something or someone, think about yourself.”
Incidentally, the Oliech’s saga come barely a week after he signed an endorsement deal with a reputable travel firm, reportedly worth millions of shillings. Oliech also has a similar deal with a reputable betting firm BetWay.
Other Kenyans on Twitter also weighed in with their support and goodwill for the retired striker who for a decade turned out for top French Ligue 1 side Nantes, Auxerre and Ajaccio.
I was surprised that anyone could conclude Dennis Oliech was broke because he had unkempt facial hair. I still cannot find the relation
