12-year-old girl injured by stray bullet during military training
A 12-year-old girl is nursing injuries after she was hit by a stray bullet from a military training school range in Kimogony village, Nakuru County on Wednesday afternoon.
Caren Jepkorir, a standard five pupil at Kolongei Primary School, was on her way home from school when the incident occurred.
According to Corporal Charles Ombachi of 9KA, a stray bullet of 9.62mm by 51mm hit the young girl on the right leg 2 centimeters below the knee.
The victim was rushed to Mediheal hospital where she was admitted and is said to be in a stable condition.
