Gospel artists rally to support Lady Bee after her mansion was demolished
Gospel musician Lady Bee found solace and unexpected support from her fellow artists after losing her house in the October Mavoko demolitions.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Lady Bee could not hold back tears as she received a brown envelope containing funds raised by a group of gospel artists, a gesture aimed at helping her recover from the devastating loss.
The surprise presentation was orchestrated by renowned gospel artist Anastacia Mukabwa, who now goes by Anastacia Kakii, who handed Lady Bee the envelope on behalf of the supportive group.
Anastasia expressed deep empathy, acknowledging the magnitude of Lady Bee’s loss and assuring her that they stand by her side during this challenging time.
Among the artists who contributed to the fund include Size 8, Betty Bayo, Chris Kirwar, Kabi Wa Jesusand Pitson among others.
The artists, connected through a WhatsApp group, rallied together to raise funds and exemplified the true meaning of friendship and support in times of need.
“Even if you don’t have money in your bank, at least you can lean on your friends. Just know that you have friends; that’s how much we treasure you,” Betty Bayo shared.
Lady Bee had previously shared her heartbreak in a video posted on her Instagram account, detailing the painful experience of witnessing her five-year investment crumble during the Athi-River demolitions.
The demolitions left many residents in despair, facing the loss of their homes and properties.
Expressing her gratitude to God for her survival, Lady Bee questioned the lack of notice given before the demolitions took place.
She described the events as inhumane, insensitive, and deeply distressing, sending her deepest condolences to her neighbors in Athi River, Mavoko County.
“My condolences to all my neighbours at Athi River, Mavoko County, what happened to us was so inhuman, so insensitive, so devilish, so far I’ve never been broken like this!” she wrote.
