Here is where to usher in the New Year in style

The New Year’s eve is one of the most celebrated days during the festive season. And for that reason gigs are thrown anywhere and everywhere.

Here are the top eight events going down across Kenya on December 31, 2015.

1. Groove Party, Nairobi – As a tradition, every end of the year Safaricom throws out a special bush for all the Christians with some of the most electrifying performance by gospel artists. It is one worship experience that any christian should attend.

Tonight you will need to go to Safaricom stadium Kasarani where you will be entertained by some of your favourite local artists together with Kristine Alicia & Omari. Entry is an unscratched Bamba 250 which will also be available at the gate. Gates open at 4PM

2. English Point Marina, Mombasa – Club Cubano has got an interesting event going down tonight. The luxurious resort will host Sauti Sol, with invitees including Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho. It will also have the biggest fireworks display in Kenya.

3. Distant Relatives, Kilifi – The eco-lodge will host some of the best-known DJs, live bands and performers from Kenya, UK, USA and South Africa .

4. Peoples Park, Machakos – The park will host a New Year eve concert that will feature comedian Chipukeezy and Tanzania’s Ali Kiba. Entrance is free.

5. The Vukisha Concert, Muranga – Murang’a will be host to yet another gospel gig featuring Daddy Owen, Size 8,Christina Shusho, Pitson, Ben Githae and Dj Mo amongst others. Ihura Stadium is the venue and Sh 300 as the entrance fee. The concert kicks off at 6pm.

6. The Countdown, Naivasha – Naivasha’s Crayfish Camp will host a New Year eve bash hat will be emceed by Shaffie Weru. Artistes to perform include Kristoff and P-unit. DJ Bee, Redbone would be on the decks. Entrance is sh2,000 for early birds, sh3,000 at the gate and sh,5000 for VIP. Gates open at 2 pm.

7. Nax Vegas 2016 Jump Off 3-Day Street Party,Nakuru – Three consecutive days of partying starting off on the 31st December to the 2nd of January 2016. The host to the event will be Jalang’o himself and Dj’s in attendance would be Dj Pierra, Crème De la Crème, Hypnotiq, Nruff, Naze n Space amongst others.

8. Totally Sold Out Nairobi – This is to deliberately cater for those who would rather worship as they usher the New Year. TSO will go down at the KICC from 6pm to 6am and revelers will need to part with Sh 300.
