Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe’s head of state commendation was a great reference on Monday as her friends celebrated her birthday.

State House Director of Digital Communication Dennis Itumbi and journalist Oliver Mathenge shared their sweet birthday message with the latest presidential commendation recipient.

Itumbi, who in 2015 interrupted a news bulletin to present Maribe with a birthday cake, even jotted a short note for the news caster.

“May the wind whisper calm in your new year, May the shade of fulfilled dreams cover your path, May you embrace the best of life with endless laughter, May blessings bigger than HSC, expand your name and that of the #Maribe’s,” Itumbi wrote.

Oliver, on the other hand, celebrated his 10 years of friendship with Maribe sharing a photo accompanied with his birthday wish.

“There are good ships, and there are wood ships, The ships that sail the sea. But the best ships, are friendships, And may they always be. Happy Blessed Birthday to one of my greatest friends Jacque Maribe, HSC,” he wrote.

Last week, Maribe was among the Jamhuri Day head of state commendation recipients alongside Itumbi.

Other notable recipients included bloggers Pauline Njoroge, Dennis Itumbi, Robert Alai, Martin Kamotho Njenga aka Githeri Man and musician Rufftone (real name Roy Smith Mwita).
