Janet Mbugua celebrates eldest son’s birthday with ex-husband Eddie Ndichu
Media personality Janet Mbugua and her ex-husband on October 26, 2023, reunited to celebrate their firstborn son, Huru who turned eight.
The two parents took their son on a dinner date at a posh city restaurant together with their youngest son, Mali.
Janet, Eddie, and their sons wore smiles while engaged in cheerful conversation.
A video shared by Janet’s ex-hubby, Eddie, shows young Huru playing with a toy when the restaurant staff presented the eight-year-old a birthday cake.
Both Huru’s parents and his younger brother joined the restaurant staff in a lively rendition of the birthday song.
In yet another heartwarming video, the former Citizen TV presenter walked into the restaurant with her estranged husband and their sons, accompanied by a sweet birthday message for Huru.
In a reflective moment, the mother of two recounted a memory from eight years ago when she pranked her co-host, Hussein Mohamed, while in labor.
She fondly recalled:
“From kicking in my tummy during a prank on Live TV in 2015…To almost reaching my shoulders eight years later. Happy birthday, Huru. We love you so much. God bless you abundantly. Thank you for being a wonderful son and big brother ❤️.”
Janet has been remarkably transparent in her journey of raising her two children.
She has openly expressed that her children have played a significant role in deepening her faith in God.
Sharing her thoughts on her YouTube channel, the mother of two revealed that she has faced both challenging and joyful days, but she aspires to attain a sense of equilibrium and create meaningful content.
“My children have been drawing me closer to God, and I often feel that Huru and Mali have a deep connection with my spirituality.” She expressed.
Janet expressed her desire for her sons to grow up with a healthy sense of vulnerability.
Janet said she aims to provide them with a safe space where they can articulate their emotions and, at the same time, lead by example in living with emotional openness and authenticity.
