KQ reintroduce snacks on domestic flights
Kenya Airways (KQ) has re-introduced the serving of snacks to passengers onboard their domestic flights.
Those who will enjoy the new services are passengers flying via the 45- minute flights to Mombasa and Kisumu.
“You asked, we listened. We have made your flying experience better to Mombasa and Kisumu with a snack to keep you enjoying a smooth flight,” said Kenya Airways.

In 2021, KQ suspended meals onboard meals on domestic finals, with passengers only offered water.
Suspension of meals was one of the measures placed for the resumption of local flights.
The airline Chief Executive Allan Kilavuka said the move is aimed at reducing human contact within the flight to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
“For short-haul flights, we have reduced the need for meals and that is not that we do not want to give meals, but just because we want to reduce the contact between people,” said Kilavuka.
