Legendary Kenyan musician Jack Malle to perform at the Royal Regency, London

Legendary Kenyan musician, deejay and promoter, Jack Malle Israel, formerly known as Jahkey Malle, is set to perform at the Royal Regency in London during the Rugby Sevens afterparty.

The after party will crown the Kenya Diaspora Festival that will take place on May 20, 2023, in the Unted Kingdom.

Jack Malle’s performance was confirmed on May 17, 2023, by Prince Otach, the Chief Executive Officer of Kenyans in the United Kingdom.

“It’s the greatest honor of my life to host Jack Malle Israel in London. The person who challenged me to move abroad, single-handedly used all his life savings to buy me an air ticket from the slums of Nairobi to Europs and made it clear it was not a loan but a gift. Simply because he saw something in me and believed I could do better in Europe. To Jack Malle, I am looking forward to your show on Saturday and above all, to share a cup of tea with you and my family. Welcome to the UK star,” said Prince Otach.

According to previous Nairobi News reports, Prince Otach dubbed the festival the biggest Kenyan concert held outside of Kenya and in Europe.

“We are thrilled to be hosting the Kenya Diaspora Festival, an incredible event that celebrates Kenya’s rich and diverse music culture. We can’t wait for music fans to come together for a night of unforgettable Kenyan entertainment,” said Prince Otach.

Jack Malle joins other top Kenyan artistes to perform at the festival and after party. They include Otile Brown, Jua Cali, Boutross, King Kaka, Femi One, Britain’s Got Talent finalist with Kenyan roots, Sarah Ikumu among others. A batallion of Kenyan deejays from the motherland and residing in the UK are also set to perfrom.

According to a prior statement from Mr Otach, Kenyan music lovers will be treated to unforgettable entertainment at the festival, which aims to bridge the cultural gap between Kenya and the UK.

“Kenyan music has a rich and diverse culture that deserves to be recognised by the international market,” said Prince Otach.
