Legendary Kikuyu singer Hezeh Ndungu admitted in hospital
Renowned Kikuyu Akorino singer Hezeh Ndung’u has been admitted to a hospital for the past two weeks.
In a recent Facebook live session hosted by Karangu Wa Muraya on Sunday, 6 August, the “Elijah” hitmaker made a heartfelt revelation to his devoted fans, shedding light on his health struggles that have spanned the last five years.
Hezeh, who has been known for his magnetic stage presence and stirring lyrics, confessed that he had been battling health issues that not only affected his ability to create music but also deeply impacted his overall well-being.
Philanthropist Karangu Wa Muraya, paid a visit to Hezeh on his hospital bed, appealing to Kenyans nationwide to rally around the talented singer during this challenging time.

The Akorino singer’s fans and Kenyans of goodwill raised an impressive amount of Sh500k to contribute to Hezeh’s medical bills.
Karangu through his social media page shared a message of gratitude:
“Our dad Hezeh Ndung’u Official is so grateful, thank you for your prayers and support… by the grace of God, we have managed to support him with 500k… May Jehovah enlarge your territories… you can continue to send your support on (0700331166 or 0707255755 Hezeh Gatari). Speedy recovery Daddy….”
Amidst the outpouring of support, Hezeh also disclosed that he is undergoing treatment for diabetes among other illnesses.
A heartfelt video shared by his close friends captured the singer seated solemnly on his hospital bed, surrounded by a circle of loved ones as prayers were offered for his swift recovery.
Throughout his career, Hezeh has carved a name for himself as a legend in the industry with hit songs and albums that have resonated with fans across generations.
Kenyans have since been sending quick recovery messages to the singer.
