Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has given two city leaders a seven-day ultimatum to reconcile or face the wrath of voters.

Sonko threatened to mobilise the Nairobi public to protest against Governor Evans Kidero and  Women Rep Rachel Shebesh from next week if they would not have reconciled.

“We are fatigued by the endless fighting between the leaders. If by next Wednesday, they will not have come together, we shall pour into the streets and demand their resignation,” said Sonko

He said Dr Kidero’s office had become distracted and was not offering services as it ought to.

“The man (Kidero) is thinking about the Shebesh case. He is not at peace. We want him to have peace so he can be in office full time,” he said.

Sonko spoke to hundreds of youths across eight constituencies when he distributed loans by the Youth Enterprise Development Fund to  140 groups.

Some 300 youth supported Sonko on challenging the two leaders to unite.
