MCA Tricky opens up about wealth he’s made through comedy
Comedy has not only given MCA Tricky a platform to showcase his talent, it has also changed his life in ways he never imagined.
In an interview with Nairobi News, the celebrated comedian shared insights into his journey in the entertainment industry and how it has enabled him to achieve financial success.
When asked about his achievements in the comedy industry, MCA Tricky said that all he has is from working in comedy:
“Oh my goodness, literally 90% of what I have now is purely from comedy. Everything, including the studies I am doing, requires a lot of resources, not everyone can afford a master’s degree, especially at my age. He says.
MCA Tricky, 34, is currently studying for his Master’s, something many people in the industry do later in life.
“Most people work for 10 years and only go back for their Master’s when they are 40. I can easily continue my education because my comedy brand brings all that with it”.
MCA Tricky stressed that comedy has not only paid for his education but has also allowed him to invest in property and change his life, both directly and indirectly.
“Even the property I’ve bought so far, the lives I’ve changed, those I know and those I don’t know, it’s all because of my comedy brand.”
Despite his success, MCA Tricky leads a grounded and reflective lifestyle.
When asked about drinking and smoking, he candidly shared:
“I drink but I don’t smoke. I know why I drink and it is not because I am addicted. I just enjoy having a good time with my friends”.
He made it clear that smoking is not for him but insisted that he does not hide or pretend to drink.
“As a comedian, going out and interacting with people is part of my research,” he added.
“I can’t sit in the house 24/7 and expect to know what’s going on out there.”
MCA Tricky, known for his humble and approachable personality, also shared his approach to alcohol. “I’m not the kind of person to show off with expensive alcohol. Sometimes I sit in social places and just take a juice and go home,” he said with a laugh.”I don’t need to make a statement with what I drink.”
