Hilarious moment Moses Kuria admits to lying during Nyamira burial – VIDEO

If you were looking for evidence of how politicians lie during campaigns periods, look no further.

Gatundu South MP is the talk of the town after he narrated an embarrassing incident when he lied to mourners during a burial he had attended without invitation in Nyamira.

The feisty MP left a gathering in Githunguri, that included Deputy President William Ruto, in stitches and asked them to excuse him for speaking politics since the DP and President Uhuru Kenyatta had given him a tough assignment of looking for votes.

What cracked up those in attendance was his admission on how he got everything wrong about the deceased during the Nyamira incident. It appears the Nyamira burial took place after the Supreme Court nullified President Kenyatta’s win and ordered a fresh election.

THE LIES

“Recently with your MP Kago wa Lydia we went to Nyamira and found a gathering like this. We had no idea if it was a wedding or whatever. We just entered and thought we can actually ask for votes from these people,” he recalled.

“So we entered and asked what’s happening? We were told it’s a burial ceremony. So the MC identified me and said Hon Moses Kuria come and address these people. I didn’t even know who had died.”

The MP went on: “I started saying, ‘the lady who has left us…’ but the MC came and whispered ‘it was a gentleman’. I said we had spoken last week and the MC again came and whispered that he just came back from abroad yesterday.”

“I said the children he has left behind, we as the government will take care of them. The MC again corrected me that he was a priest. So you can see the tribulations we go through, it’s because of this hard work you have assigned us. So whenever we speak politics, just bear with us.”
