Gathegi, best known for his role as Darwin in the film ‘X-Men: First Class’, will now step into the shoes of Michael Holt, aka Mister Terrific.

This is Gathegi’s second foray into the superhero genre, showcasing his versatility and talent on the big screen.

As Mister Terrific, Gathegi’s character has an impressive array of superpowers that are sure to captivate audiences worldwide.

In addition to his fighting skills, Mister Terrific is also a trained medic, making him one of the few DC heroes capable of providing medical aid in the heat of battle.

Determined to uphold justice and live up to his nickname, Mister Terrific uses his genius intellect to outsmart criminals and enemies alike.

The excitement surrounding Gathegi’s portrayal of Mister Terrific is heightened by the character’s inclusion in the upcoming DC Universe reboot, Superman.

Meanwhile, several beloved characters including Hawk Girl, Green Lantern and Metamorpho of the Terrifics have been confirmed to grace the big screen in the next chapter of the DCU.

In February, he secured another prominent role in a superhero franchise.

Gathegi was part of the star-studded cast of James Gunn’s upcoming film “Superman: Legacy,” which recently convened in Atlanta for a table read ahead of production.

Gathegi who portrays the character Mister Terrific shared the news with his fans saying:

“Beyond grateful a master storyteller has invited me to contribute to an iconic property and this artistic conversation. Humbled to join the DC family. Thank you, James Gunn, Peter Safran & Chantal Nong. Up up and away.”
