Passaris clinches ODM Nairobi Woman Rep ticket
Nairobi businesswoman Esther Passaris has clinched the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket to vie for the Women Representative position in the August 8 general election.
Passaris trounced Mountainview MCA Beatrice Kwamboka garnering 65,104 votes against the latter’s 11,296.
The businesswoman was issued with a provisional nomination certificate at the party county tallying centre in Nyayo Stadium.
“I am really looking forward to the opportunity to serve Nairobians and Kenyans as a whole. I feel we really need good leaders, leaders who actually understand that poverty is as a result of bad leadership,” said Passaris.
The opposition party is hoping to clinch the seat that is currently held by Jubilee Party candidate Rachel Shebesh.
