Pastor Ng’ang’a’s generosity shines as he rewards a University student

The founder of Neno Evangelism, Pastor James Ng’ang’a, has once again demonstrated his kindness by surprising his congregation with a heartfelt gesture.

During a recent church service, Pastor Ng’ang’a rewarded a second-year university student with a generous sum of Sh10,000 for presenting him with two skillfully crafted portraits.

The talented young artist, a resident of Murang’a, had drawn striking portraits of Pastor Ng’ang’a and his wife, Murugi.

As the pastor passionately delivered his sermon, the young man lifted the two portraits, catching Ng’ang’a off guard.

Amused and intrigued, the pastor inquired about the medium used and the young man’s academic year.

“What is that? You drew me. What pen do you use? A pencil… What class are you in?” Ng’ang’a asked with laughter.

Receiving one of the portraits depicting himself and his wife, Ng’ang’a walked towards his wife, Murugi, to compare the likeness.

The talented artist revealed that he is a university student pursuing a different course, and drawing is his talent.

“I can draw anyone. I drew you in 2023, and I live in Murang’a,” the young artist shared.

Ng’ang’a, impressed by the young man’s talent, inquired about the requirements for creating such portraits, and the artist mentioned that all he needed was a photo of the subject.

“I have not sold any, but you can promote me with something.”

“Can I buy Sh500 or Sh2000?” Ng’ang’a asked.

Pastor Ng’ang’a handed him Sh10,000, stating that it was a form of spiritual promotion.

“That is giving him spiritual support. That is someone inside him, and the people can see it,” Ng’ang’a explained.

Addressing another matter during the service, Pastor Ng’ang’a defended his followers who had gifted him sh1000 each during Christmas, condemning those who criticized the gesture.

“I am your spiritual man. Why should you send me a Christmas message without money? Don’t send your pastors those funny Christmas messages without rewarding them,” he said.

Ng’ang’a expressed discontent with those who scrutinised the gifts, saying that he had also been generous in the past, although such instances went unreported by the media.
