Sauti Sol team up with Amos and Josh in latest hit
Music group Sauti Sol has teamed up with former Tusker Project Fame contestants Amos and Josh in their latest hit “Nerea.”
The song, whose official video was uploaded on YouTube Monday, has a great ambiance with all the gents dressed in white.
Nerea’s lyrics have a strong message against abortion, exploring the possibility that the unborn child could be a great African leader.
Several leaders are featured in the verses among them Kenya’s Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, Tanzania’s Julius Nyerere and South Africa’s Nelson Mandela.
Each of the leaders featured has a semblance of a younger him gearing up to make a better Africa.
Asked what Nerea means, the group responded, “Nerea is a celebration of any man taking responsibility for his actions. Seeing life as a blessing not as a mere accident or a woman’s problem. He shares her responsibility.”
The song is the fifth single of the music group’s upcoming album titled, “Live and Die in Africa.”
