Singer Banky W shares uplifting testimony after surviving fourth cancer surgery

Renowned Nigerian artiste, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has shared a powerful testimony following his recent battle with skin cancer.

The Heaven hitmaker, who has undergone four operations, including the latest this year, took to Instagram to update his fans and offer words of encouragement.

Reflecting on his journey of faith and resilience, Banky W said.

“Sometimes your faith in God won’t stop the storms from coming… but it will carry you through them. Faith won’t always stop you from hurting, but it will help you heal and it will help you cope,” he wrote.

The artist, who underwent his third surgery in 2017, stressed the power of faith in overcoming adversity.

“God never said the weapons wouldn’t form; He promised they wouldn’t succeed. He never said the enemy wouldn’t come. He promised that when the enemy comes like a flood, the Spirit of God would raise up a standard against him”.

He shared his testimony to encourage those facing challenges.

“It may seem bigger than you, but He who is in you is greater than anything you will face in this world.”

Banky W expressed deep gratitude to his wife, actress Adesua Etomi, family, friends and pastors for their unwavering support and prayers.

“I thank God for my health and trust that this latest victory is final in the name of Jesus,” he said.

He also paid tribute to the medical professionals who played a crucial role in his recovery.

“I appreciate the gifted hands and minds of my doctors, Dr Onyewu of the Centre for Advanced Specialty Surgery and Dr Adenuga of Euracare, and the teams that support them. We are victorious again. Now and forever, in Jesus’ name.

Wellington concluded with a quote from Romans 8:28:

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who are the called according to his purpose.”
